Abstract

We live in a fast changing, dynamic world that impacts social, physical and human geographies. As a result, timely, rapid delivery of relevant information is critical to saving lives and protecting critical infrastructure. This presentation will look at how the fusion of Geospatial genres is helping to shorten the lifecycle of sensing information to action. Moreover it will address some of the challenges moving forward including the management of Big Data as well as discuss how we can leverage cloud based technologies to empower citizens to improve their local communities.
